Abby joined August as our general counsel in 2014. She advises the August Capital team on venture investments, exit and deal structuring, portfolio maintenance, fund structuring and fundraising.

Abby started her career at Gunderson Dettmer, a leading Silicon Valley law firm. At Gunderson, Abby represented emerging growth companies as well as venture capital firms. Abby’s broad practice included strategic coaching prior to incorporation, corporate formations, fund formations, venture capital financings, debt transactions, corporate governance, employment counseling, initial and follow-on public offerings, public company reporting and mergers and acquisitions. Following her time at Gunderson, Abby was a senior associate at Silicon Legal Strategy in San Francisco where her practice focused on early stage investments.

Abby received a BA in Environmental Science and Policy from Duke University and a JD from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law.  Abby is admitted to practice law in California.
