August Capital

Steve joined August Capital in February 2008 as CFO.  Steve brings 14 plus years of venture capital experience, as well as start-up operating experience, to August Capital.  Prior to joining August Capital, Steve was CFO and Director of Operations at Gabriel Venture Partners, an early-stage venture capital firm from 2003 to 2008.  Steve was CFO at MeriTech Capital Partners, a late-stage venture capital firm from 1999 to 2003 and spent 5 years as Controller at US Venture Partners in the early 1990s. Prior to Meritech, Steve spent over three years as CFO of Image Enhancement Systems, Inc., a start-up medical device company.  Steve started his career with Ernst & Young in San Francisco, CA.

Steve holds a BA degree in Business Economics from the University of California at Santa Barbara and is a licensed CPA in the state of California.
